What are cookies?

A Web server and Web browser use cookies to remember your preferences and settings for future visits to a Web site. Cookies are not harmful. The Freedom Scientific Web site uses cookies to recall your page layout preferences when visiting our site. You can set your Web browser to automatically accept cookies. Keep in mind that if you reject cookies, some Web sites may not work correctly.

To accept cookies for Internet Explorer 7, do the following:
  1. Press ALT+T to select Tools, and press O to choose Internet Options
  2. Press CTRL+TAB twice to move to the Privacy tab.
  3. Use the UP or DOWN ARROW key to move the slider to select a privacy level that accepts cookies, such as Medium, Low, or Accept All Cookies.
  4. Press TAB to navigate to the OK button and press ENTER to save the new settings.

To accept cookies for Mozilla Firefox, do the following:

  1. Press ALT+T to select Tools, and press O to choose Options
  2. From the Privacy panel, press TAB to navigate to the Accept Cookies from Sites checkbox.
  3. Press SPACEBAR to select the cookies checkbox.
  4. Press TAB to navigate to the OK button and press ENTER to save the new settings.

How to Change On-Screen Text Size

You can use the built-in feature of your chosen Web browser to increase or decrease text size.

With Internet Explorer and Firefox:

To increase text size, press the Control (CTRL) key and the + (Plus) key on the numeric keypad (not the main keyboard Plus sign key).

To decrease the text size, press the Control (CTRL) key and the ‐ (Minus) key on the numeric keypad.

Also, from the menu of Firefox 3.0 and later, you can select View, and then select Zoom.

With Macintosh:

To increase text size, press the Command key and the + (Plus) key on the numeric keypad (not the main keyboard Plus key).

To decrease text size, press the Command key and the ‐ (Minus) key on the numeric keypad.
