PAC Mate 3.0.290 English Build – Optional Code Patch Freedom Scientific has fixed two bugs that were recently discovered in PAC Mate release 3.0. If these fixes are relevant to the way you use your PAC Mate, you may wish to download and install this patch now. Otherwise, the 4.0 update will include these fixes when it is released. British Pound Currency Symbol (£) The Problem: DOTS 1-5-6-8 for a British pound appear on the Braille display as DOTS 4-6-7. In addition, the file translation stops when a British pound is reached. The Solution: Download and install the PAC Mate 3.0 patch to fix this problem. Auto Scroll of Braille Display The Problem: When the cursor reaches the last line of a document, and there are no characters on that line, the unit requires a warm reset. The Solution: Download and install the PAC Mate 3.0 patch to fix this problem. When you run the installer, it occupies approximately 2 MB of RAM. You can confirm that the patch is installed by pressing DOTS 1-4-5-6 CHORD, DOT 1 on the PAC Mate BX, and by pressing INSERT F1, A on the PAC Mate QX. The build is reported as 3.0.350 instead of 3.0.290. Select Download BX patch to download and install the PAC Mate BX 3.0 patch.
